How To Find a Newly Inserted Battery

After IMPRES Battery Fleet Management has collected data from many batteries, it is difficult to find batteries that are currently inserted into pockets of IMPRES devices with the existing reports. Although all of the currently inserted batteries are displayed in the System Device Monitor, there is not a direct way to report on currently inserted batteries. However, you can use the Custom Report Generation Tool to create a custom report that will display batteries that were inserted within the last day.

To Create the Newly Inserted Battery custom report, follow these steps:

Click the Reports button in the Navigation Panel
Right click on the Custom node and click on the Add menu item
In the Custom Query Dialog
- Move the Serial Number, Computer Name, Device Name, Pocket Number and Date of Last Read from the Available Columns to the Selected Columns listbox
- Enter "Newly Inserted Batteries" into the Report Name textbox
- Select Date Of Last Read from the first operand list of the Filter Condition control
- Select "Equals" from the operator list
- Enter yesterday's date in the second operand list
- Click OK

A report showing the Serial Number, Computer Name, Device Name, Pocket Number and Date of Last Read of all batteries that have been inserted since yesterday will appear in the Results Panel.

The Newly Inserted Batteries report will also appear under the Custom report node.
